I write Middle Grade and Young Adult novels, and gravitate to dramatic fairy tale retellings and urban fantasies full of quiet drama. Relationship dynamics, struggles with identity, coping with tragedy, and mental illness are themes I love writing, and they always resolve with hope and found family.

I’ve been drawing since before time began and came to depend on doodling to get me through the day.   I’ve done the convention circuit, spoken at conferences, and spent a year doing the illustrations and layout for a very successful kids’ baking subscription service. I love drawing cute critters, food, and all things woodsy. A great fit for me would be something very organic in nature, with animals, messy lines and a lot of character.

I’m an 80s kid who grew up on the internet. I have 3 cats, 2 dogs, and the best partner anyone could ever ask for. My favorite book is the 4th Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles graphic novel, my favorite movie is Jurassic Park, and grey is absolutely my favorite color.
